The incumbent securely operates a Class C&D fully armored vehicle (FAV) and trucks for transporting mission members and VIPs (within city, surrounding areas and country). Ensures that vehicle is in clean and serviceable condition and performs minor preventive maintenance. Passengers and\/or cargo. Acts as courier As directed.The position is located in the Car Pool Section of the General Service Office (GSO).The incumbent is supervised by the Motor Pool Dispatcher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experience :
A minimum of three (3) years of professional driving experience is required
Job knowledge: Knowledge of the location of other missions, host government institutions and NGOs. Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. Knowledge of travel routes and areas within the country. Public awareness of the general political climate in the country related to protests, demonstrations and riots.
Education requirements:
Completion of primary education is required.

Arabic: Level 3 (good working knowledge) Reading\/Writing\/Speaking required. (this may be tested)
Skills and abilities :
He must hold a valid Sudanese general driving licence.
Must have the ability to read maps and plan driving routes.
Must have good verbal communication skills, and the ability to deal with all people professionally and discreetly.
Must be able to perform a basic vehicle inspection and must possess intermediate level automotive maintenance skills.
Must have basic computer skills to maintain reports and for communication purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
