The Project Manager plays a critical role in planning, leading and supervising projects ensuring they are completed within a controlled budget with agreed limits to scope, cost, schedule and quality standards. He/she interacts with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager is required to plan and assign project resources, prepare budgets, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project. The project manager’s responsibilities include all aspects of the project including setting deadlines, assigning duties, preparing reports, and monitoring projects.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Identify and manage risks and issues that may affect the successful delivery of the project and take corrective measures
• Forecasts, uses, and manages resources needed and defines project roles and responsibilities to achieve project objectives
• Provides project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders on progress while measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Manage construction, approval and monitoring of continuous change to project plans
• Generates reports and provides status analysis of project progress that includes current risks, corrective measures, and budget expenditures
• Ensures that scope, budget, schedule and quality are carefully managed
• Ensures proper project documentation as well as enforces the use of good project management practices and tools
• Study the lessons learned from previous projects and apply the most important lessons to the new project
• Performs studies and identifies potential suppliers for new business by selecting the best and most advanced technology
• Supervises and supervises sub-projects and teams in carrying out assigned tasks, in addition to ensuring that authority & accountability is established.
• Mediates and resolves conflicts between project teams.
• Gets involved in the recruitment and selection of project personnel or core personnel for the project and training of project teams as and when required, and ensures that they have the necessary skills to carry out the task.
• Conduct evaluations of offers from suppliers/contractors

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant experience

Required skills and knowledge:

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office applications)
• PMP (Project Management Professional) a plus
• Power system and medium voltage transmission background is preferred
