- Opening Position: Utility Engineer

Position Overview
To develop, design, and operate utility systems (Water, Gas, Wastewater, and HVAC) while resolving system failures, overseeing preventative maintenance, and managing utility construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Operations: Develop designs, plans, and operational procedures for core utility systems including water, gas, wastewater, and comprehensive HVAC/cooling setups.
- Supervise technicians and sub-contractors on-site to ensure installations align perfectly with approved Shop Drawings, technical specifications, and safety codes.
- Review design documents, heat load calculations (e.g., HAP), duct layouts, and material submittals to optimize system efficiency and performance.
- Lead the testing, balancing, and commissioning of new HVAC modifications, ventilation systems, or cold rooms before handing them over to operations.
- Monitor and identify required spare parts, prepare technical procurement requests, and verify incoming materials against strict quality standards.
- Ensure cost optimization through accurate design reviews, strict material inspection, and proper preventive maintenance.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Equipment Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC systems, air compressors, pneumatic controls, gas-fired units, chillers, and 2-pipe/4-pipe pump systems.
Education, Professional Qualifications and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience with advanced professional skills.
- Work Location : Khartoum
- Strong understanding of Utilities systems & their controls.
- Strong computer skills, communication skills and CAD software.
