An engineering company in Qatar is announcing a vacancy for a Site Mechanical Engineer (Male/In-Country).
Requirements
- At least 5 years of on-site experience in MEP projects.
- Responsible for supervising the implementation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems according to specifications, drawings, and standards.
- Preparing and calculating quantities and price quotations.
- Following up and approving Requests for Inspection (IRs) and Requests for Inquiry (RFIs).
- Reviewing/amending shop drawings and As-Built drawings based on site conditions.
- Assigning tasks to technicians and supervisors, measuring productivity, and controlling quality.
- Coordinating with electrical and civil works to resolve conflicts.
- Adhering to Kahramaa, Civil Defense (QCDD), and local authorities’ requirements.
- Conducting material inspections and issuing approvals.
- Managing documentation, daily reports, safety procedures, and QA/QC, and attending site meetings.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD (revit knowledge is an advantage).
- Strong team leadership and communication skills.
- Flexibility and practical problem-solving skills.
