Position Summary :
The Middleware Administrator is expected to have hands-on experience in WebSphere Application Server, HCL Portal, IBM BPM, DataPower & OpenShift and using these technologies, the incumbent is expected to manage and maintain middleware softwares ensuring seamless communications between the applications. The incumbent is expected to install, upgrade, deploy, support and troubleshoot middleware products mentioned above.
Experience: 6+ years of experience, preferably in IT Industry
Primary Skills required :
The incumbent is expected to have the following demonstrable primary skills, and the selection will be based on how competent the candidate performs during the interview with citing examples of their current previous examples on the following skills :
- WebSphere Application Server V9.x
- IBM BPM V8.6.x/IBM BAW V20.x .
- HCL Portal Server V9.x (WebSphere Portal Server)
- IBM DataPower(V10.x)
Secondary Skills Required :
- IBM Security directory server (LDAP) V6.x & IBM HTTP Server.
- Good Knowledge in Administration of RedHat OpenShift Container Platform V4.12.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Installation, Configuration and Administration of WebSphere Application Server (V9.x), HCL Portal (V9.0.x), WCM (V9.0.x), DataPower (V10.0.x), and BPM (V8.6.x).
- Troubleshooting WAS, HCL Portal, DataPower and BPM Issues.
- IBM BPM Installation, Configuration, Support and Troubleshooting including Process Center, Process Server & JVM’s.
- Hands on Experience on Cluster Setup, Upgrade & Migration process.
- Day-Day to business support (Deployment, Performance tuning, Handling Application Server issues).
- Expertise in WebSphere Portal Server Administration along with WCM.
- Familiar with Syndication, Subscription mechanism & WCM Administration.
- Experienced in setup Portal Horizontal Cluster & Upgrade/migration of environment from lower version to higher version along with applications.
- Production Support Skills for the IBM Portal Environment
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for HCL Portal, Data Power, WAS and BPM.
- Knowledge of at least one Webserver like IBM HTTP and its integration with HCL Portal.
- Understanding of Project Management Techniques and Practices.
- Experience in Administration and configuration management tasks
- Good Troubleshooting skills and monitoring activities
- Strong knowledge in DP Firmware Upgrades
- File management, DP Extension functions
- Creating Users, domains, access restrictions
- Responsible for the migration of Services from Sandbox to Dev, QA, PROD lower environments to higher environments
- Error Handling Logging in Data Power
- Hands-on Experience in AAA (authentication, authorization, auditing) and Customization of AAA Policy
- Hands-on Experience in SSL Proxy configuration and certificate management
- Good knowledge in Administration of RedHat OpenShift Cluster.
- Familiar with Installation and configuration of OpenShift and its components.
- Familiar with Cloud Pak for integration installation and deploying its capabilities.
Qualifications, Certifications, and Credentials:
- Bachelors / master’s degree in computer science or Equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience working with HCL Portal, Data Power, WAS and BPM administration.
